Today marks the launch of my 30-day Kickstarter campaign to fund the release of my new album, Circumstance, recorded at legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. This is my second Kickstarter campaign (the first was in 2018 in support of my debut full-length album, Visions), and after months of preparation, it’s so exciting to finally be able to share this project with you.

Why I’m asking for your help

The album itself is complete. Now what? Now it’s time to release it to the world, and as an independent artist with a big vision, this means hiring the team of professionals who can help me market and promote it to the widest possible audience. The purpose of this Kickstarter is to raise the budget I need to act as my own record label. Your pledge will allow me to order physical product, pay for promotion to radio and the press in both the USA and Europe, advertise on social media, film and edit music videos, and essentially do anything and everything I can to get eyes and ears on my new music.

What you get in return

Everyone who pledges $15 or more will receive a digital download of the new album in October, right after the Kickstarter campaign ends, months before it’s released to the general public in March 2023!

When you visit the campaign page, you’ll see detailed descriptions of all the reward levels I’m offering. Beyond pre-ordering the record on CD or vinyl, you can select one of the special, personal rewards that I’ve dreamed up, including handwritten postcards and lyrics, mementos from FAME studios, unreleased recordings, house concerts, and more.

I love Kickstarter because it provides a streamlined, interactive way for artists to crowdfund creative projects. One caveat is that campaigns are All-Or-Nothing, meaning I must reach my funding goal of $30K (or, hopefully, surpass it!) in order to receive any of the money raised.
